Default A New Hope

So far this is the most complete and edited version of what could be added to the game to make things that are under used worth doing as well as some tweaks to make life for the pver a lot easier. soon i will add a hero skill usage section that will outline what skills heros need to use better or at all for that matter. sadly these updates will take a while because it will be long to write and i have school to attend to, mainly tests and reading. keep posting ideas, suggestions, and general discussion on what i have said and what could possibly be done. thank you for the support.


Prophecies

-add both normal and elite armor for the Assassin, Ritualist, Paragon, and Dervish


***change henchmen skill bars as follows***

Stefan: Crippling Slash, Gash, Standing Slash, Sun and Moon Slash, Bull's Strike, Frenzy, Rush, Resurrection Signet

Little Thorn: Eviscerate, Agonizing Chop, Executioner's Strike, Disrupting Chop, Bull's Strike, Frenzy, Rush, Resurrection Signet

Devona: Devastating Hammer, Crushing Blow, Yeti Smash, Counter Blow, Bull's Strike, Frenzy, Rush, Resurrection Signet

Aidian and Reyna: Incendiary Arrows, Distracting Shot, Savage Shot, Antidote Signet, Apply Poison, Natural Stride, Troll Unguent, Resurrection Signet

-triple the reward for the challenge missions. the reward for beating a record or any special drops from the mission will remain untouched

-add faction rewards for completing missions on both kurzick and luxon sides. 500 faction in normal mode and 1000 faction in hard mode.

-add both normal and elite armor for the Paragon and Dervish

-add a crafter who crafts gold versions of endgame skins and remove endgame skins as drops from Urgoz and the Deep

The Deep

-add celestial weapons to the drop list of monsters, chests, and the end chest

-change the end chest drop from what it is now to: 3 gold/green items, 6 jades, and 500 luxon faction on normal mode and 6 gold/green items, 12 jades, and 1000 luxon faction on hard mode

-add Luxon Blessing to area


Domain of Anguish

-increase the current gemstone drops from the completion chests to 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 in normal mode and 3 - 6 - 9 - 12 in hard mode

-increase Mallyx chest drop to 3 drops in normal mode and 6 drops in hard mode


Eye of the North

-make polymock pieces account based

-add a crafter who crafts gold versions of Droknar's skins

-increase the reputation points at the completion of the dungeon by 3 times

-increase the drops for the following dungeons to 2 in normal mode and 4 in hard mode
Arachni's Haunt
Bloodstone Caves
Bogroot Growths
Darkrime Delves
Heart of the Shiverpeaks
Oola's Lab
Ooze Pit
Raven's Point
Sepulchre of Dragrimmar

-increase the drops for the following dungeons to 3 in normal mode and 6 in hard mode
Catacombs of Kathandrax

-chests for all quests have 2 drops in normal mode and 4 in hard mode. the last quest will have 3 drops in normal mode and 6 in hard mode


Vanquishing

-increase the gold and experience for vanquishing to 15 times the monsters


Traders

-add a weapons modifier trader and a normal tome trader to towns, outposts, cities, and guild halls (not elite tomes)


Titles

-change the treasure hunter and wisdom titles to account based and this goes for their benefit as well. for those that have multiple characters with chests and wisdom we will simply add your totals up to make the new title.


Hall of Monuments

-allow people to change display orders any way they see fit not a random ordering like it is now

-allow gold versions of Deldrimor weapons, Droknar's weapons, Forgotten weapons, Zodiac weapons, Celestial weapons, and endgame factions weapons to be displayed

-for endgame greens to be a bit easier to obtain allow endgame rewards to be reacquired after beating the final missions in hard mode

-add a statue for completion of Tomb of the Primeval Kings and for the Titan Quests


Heros and Henchmen

-make it that when the party engages the enemy, frontline charges in first while the mid/backline spreads out

-give the heros and henchmen better aoe detection so that they know where the aoe is and how to escape it quickly

-make it that the frontline won't stray too far from the backline. no more then slightly beyond earshot.

i am thinking of changes for tombs but i am not too sure what to do about that place. i am also thinking of new henchmen bars that will make henchmen a semi viable option for people. it was a lot more text so i will throw out what i have now and add more soon.

i will be reading the feedback so plz reply.

well its not really a suggestion more of a petition to anet to make these changes happen. i was planning on emailing this to them but i have it on the forum first to get people's ideas and feedback. and if the devs somehow stumble on it before i mail it. that will save me time

They'll just move this to the appropriate section.

I don't know about the suggested changes - making certain drops more frequent/less rare affects their value, and that will upset some people.

I do agree, however, that I like a reward commensurate with the challenge! It sucks to battle through a difficult area and manage to kill the boss(-es, some have 2 or more grouped together), only to have them drop nothing. There needs to be a balance as these kinds of challenges can be played thru over and over again (i.e., farming).

i like the suggestions right now doing all the dungeons on my para (have to redo em on my ele, but doing them first on my imbagon to save from misstakes for those i haven't done yet) and the rewards are a joke some dungeons take around an hour and a half and what do i get?

A lousy 1.5K and a gold item (that in 90% of the cases is crap or nothing worth) and 1.5k in random drops. In the same time i could have made alot more money doing just regular quests most of the time.

Some of the increased drops sound good but the gemstones and urgoz in HM are a bit too much... I think 8 gamestones from the last chest in HM is allready very generous. Urgoz is easier than the Deep imo. But in the end, increasing drops/droprate isn''t keeping players. New content however is. During he gamesconvention 2008 interview with Izzy he said the team are working on new skins and more.

You forgot about the Challenge Missions, mainly the Factions ones, those are really underrated IMO.

It's so fun to do the Zos Shivros mission, Withstand the oncoming waves!

I like the last three ideas, Traders, Titles, and HoM


But the rest don't seem to to accomplish what your talking about. Increase the gold and drops, but once every thing is increased and it is the norm how long till we need another increase to make it not boring again?


To tell you the truth I'm not sure there is much more that can be done with this title to add new features that will really keep people from getting bored with it. I think this may be part of the reason they are working on the 2nd title.......



I want wearable trophies, Salutations in front of your name for accomplishments as well as titles you have earned (this would introduce new accomplishments and a new system, I would have to make a new post to explain this idea which means it is probably something that could not be implemented) , truly elite areas not accesable unless you have earned it (beat UW and FOW for example), and an auction house


I also want Darkfall to go beta already....

8 golds from 1 HM dungeon chest ? you got to be kidding me.
Also 8drops from urgoz/deep chests..seriously wth?
16 gems from the last HM chest at DoA ?
You are pretty much begging for money.

The only idea that I liked is let us order the HoM in the order that we want , the rest is pretty much bullshit.

Hmmm very smart changes. I'd love to see at least some of them implemented...

Factions Elites have become abandoned which is sad considering they were a lot of fun to do

I agree - you cannot have too large an increase (8 drops from one chest is overboard, really). Maybe 2-3 drops, 4 at the very, very max.

You're being too generous with your rewards.

We don't need tome traders, we have skill trainers. If elite tomes were sold at traders skill capping would become obsolete.

Increasing the droprate will make the drops less common, which is a big reason for people to QQ about. Sure, you'll get Urgoz's Longbow * 3, but there's no-one who wants to buy it from you.

All the suggestions on Traders, Titles and Hall of Monuments are suggestions that have been voiced numerous times already. Still would like to see them implemented though.

The increased drop ideas are just silly and not needed.

I do like the idea of zodiac/celestial spears/scythes. And the account wide treasure hunter/wisdom has been asked for a while now-something I hope they do implement.

About your HoM changes-should be able to select what order things are shown. But I don't know if you noticed, but Tormented Weapons are being added in a future Update.

no not elite tomes just normal tomes to be sold but maybe thats a bad idea in general? hmm i'll have to ponder that. no more extra drops u say i guess the buff to the reward chest is nice and btw urgoz might be ez but it takes a lot longer then the deep to complete so thats y it gets a higher reward.

hmm i dont think its bullshit rly. its to reward the player for spending 1.5-4 hrs to do said mission and to make up for the fact that farming atm outpays elite missions. and y dont u tell me how to get people to enjoy these missions? if more drops are not enuf reward then wut is?

remember guys its about time put in vs reward. i've seen a lot of people say omgz i did that dungeon for 3 hrs but i could of been farming and gotten better stuff. so just balancing out the reward with the time will make that same person feel like they werent wasting time. and adds to the fun because u actually feel good that the end of ur run instead of like u were ripped off.
